This site is a tribute to Allison Thorpe, who was born on February 14, 1967. She is much loved and will always be remembered. Fabulous wife, mother, nana, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She has touched the lives of many and achieved so much in such a short time. In honour of this amazing woman we are raising money for the salisbury hospice charity, who not only cared for her but went above and beyond to make her feel blessed and special and made her final few weeks the best that we could ever hope for. Please give freely in her name so that others continue to benefit from such amazing people.
A letter from Heaven
To my dearest family, some things id like to say,
But first of all to let you know that I've arrived OK.
I am writing this from heaven, where I dwell with God above,
where there's no more tears or sadness, there's just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy because I'm out of sight,
remember that I'm with you, every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you, when life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me tight and said 'I really welcome you'.
Your dearest family will be here much later on,
for now I need you as part of my big plan,
there's much for us to do,
to help out fellow man.
Then God gave me a list of things he wished for me to do,
and foremost on that list of mine is to watch and care for you.
And I will be beside you, every day, week and year,
so when you're sad I'm standing there to wipe away your tears.
When you're fast asleep and all the chores have taken flight,
God and I are closer to you, always through the night.
When you think of my life on earth and all those living years,
because you're only human they are bound to bring you tears.
Do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain,
remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish I could tell you all what God has planned,
But I can't really let you know, for you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life of earth's no more,
I am closer to you now than I ever was before.
And to all my family and friends, trust God, for he knows what is best,
Im still not very far away, I'm just beyond the crest.
It was always my philosophy, and I would like it for you too,
that as you give onto the world, the world will give on to you.
So if you help somebody, who is feeling down and low,
Just lend a hand and pick them up as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind,
I am walking in your footsteps, just half a step behind.
When you feel a gentle breeze or the wind upon your face,
that's me giving you a great big hug, or just a soft embrace.
And when it's time for you to go, from that body to be free,
remember that you're not going away, you're coming home to me.
I will always love you that will never change,
I'll be in touch will you all soon just watch out for my signs.
X.
Words cannot describe how broken I feel. To know that I’m never going to see your smile, hear your laugh and moan about your coffee breath when you give me a cuddle is almost too much. I love and miss you more than you will ever know.
Merry Christmas
